Your worst issue ever
I hereby ask you to remove me from your list of subscribers. It seems to me like just another vehicle to transport conservative American values, most of them politically motivated, not religiously.
Your July-August issue is, in my opinion, the worst you ever distributed. Your praise for Ronald Reagan doesn't belong in "a magazine of understanding." To remind you: It was mainly Mr. Gorbachev who gave the most important impulses to end the cold war. Mr. Reagan wasn't the biggest part in this process, instead he fueled it and wasted America's money on foolish things like the "Star Wars" project. Also, I am frightened of the European picture you paint. I feel highly discriminated against by your views.

Please cancel my subscription. With the name Good News I was actually, foolishly, hoping for some good news, not some hypocritical, political, negative propaganda. As far as I am concerned, your church should have its nonprofit status taken away because your magazine is so political. It's hypocritical because all it sounds like to me is judging. Never send me another issue, please.

The Good News has no political affiliation. We judge matters on their merits from a biblical perspective. Others appreciated the same issue, as the next four letters show.
"The Battle Over the Bible"
The article "The Battle Over the Bible" in your July-August issue hit the nail right on the head! I was moved by that article. The Scripture references were so relevant. Great job! I am looking forward to showing this article to some of my friends. This is the kind of writing that is needed to open the eyes of some of those who downplay the need for God and His accurate Word.
